Privacy policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

This privacy policy explains how Arcellion Ltd (“Arcellion”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit arcellion.com, book a call with us or otherwise get in touch. We are committed to handling your information fairly, lawfully and transparently, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

1. Who we are

Arcellion Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. We help established businesses assess the value of their data and workflows and pursue paid licensing partnerships. For the purposes of UK data protection law, Arcellion Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.

Registered address: Suite Ra01, 195–197 Wood Street, London E17 3NU, United Kingdom.

2. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to:

  • Website visitors: people who browse arcellion.com.

  • Prospective partners: business owners, directors and staff who book a call, contact us or explore working with us.

  • Client contacts: the people we deal with at businesses we work with.

Company data that a business chooses to license through a data partnership is governed by a separate written agreement with that business. That agreement sets out what is shared, how it is protected and how personal details of staff and customers are removed before any dataset is released. This policy does not replace those terms.

3. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Booking a call: when you schedule a call through our booking tool (Cal.com), we collect your name, email address and any details you choose to add, such as your company name, phone number or notes about your business.

  • Conversations and correspondence: information you share with us by email, on calls or in meetings, such as your job title, your company’s size, how long it has been operating, where it is based and the systems it uses.

  • Working with us: contact and business details needed to assess eligibility, prepare agreements and manage a partnership.

Our payout calculator

The estimates shown by the calculator on our website are worked out entirely in your browser. The values you choose (team size, years operating and location) are not sent to us or stored by us.

Information collected automatically

  • Technical and usage data: such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you visit and how you arrived at our site. This is collected by our website host and by the tools described in the Cookies section below.

  • Advertising measurement: we use the Meta Pixel, which records visits to our pages so we can measure and improve our advertising on Meta platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

  • Embedded video: our website includes a video hosted by Wistia, which may collect viewing information such as whether and how much of the video was played.

4. How we use your information and our legal bases

We only use personal information where we have a lawful basis to do so:

  • To respond to enquiries and arrange calls: based on our legitimate interests in running our business, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

  • To assess whether your business may qualify and to introduce you to suitable data licensing partners: based on our legitimate interests, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract. We will only introduce you to a partner with your agreement.

  • To deliver and manage a partnership: to perform our contract with you or your business.

  • To understand how our website is used and to keep it secure: based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving our website.

  • To measure and improve our advertising, including through the Meta Pixel: based on your consent where required by law. You can withdraw consent at any time.

  • To meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations: to comply with our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Who we share information with

We share personal information only where necessary and with appropriate safeguards in place:

  • Service providers: who help us run our business, including Framer (website hosting), Cal.com (call scheduling), Wistia (video hosting), Meta Platforms (advertising measurement), and our email, cloud storage and IT providers. They may only use your information to provide their services to us.

  • Data licensing partners: with your agreement, when we introduce your business to a potential partner.

  • Professional advisers: such as lawyers, accountants and insurers, where needed.

  • Authorities: where we are required to by law or need to protect our rights.

  • Business transfers: if Arcellion is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. International transfers

Some of our service providers, including Cal.com, Wistia and Meta, may process personal information outside the UK, including in the United States and the European Economic Area. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as UK adequacy regulations (including the UK–US Data Bridge), the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use:

  • Strictly necessary technologies: needed for our website to work and to stay secure. These do not require consent.

  • Advertising cookies: set by the Meta Pixel (for example, the _fbp cookie, which typically lasts up to 90 days) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising.

  • Third-party embeds: our embedded video (Wistia) and booking tool (Cal.com) may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

Where the law requires it, we will only use non-essential cookies with your consent. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and manage how Meta uses your information for advertising in your Meta account’s ad preferences. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of our website work.

8. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it:

  • Enquiries and call bookings: up to 2 years after our last contact with you, unless we go on to work together.

  • Client and partnership records: for the length of our relationship and up to 6 years afterwards, to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements and to deal with any claims.

  • Website and advertising data: for the periods set by the relevant providers, such as the cookie lifetimes described above.

9. How we protect your information

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including access controls and encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate. Access is limited to people who need it to do their jobs. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our safeguards regularly.

10. Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

  • Access: ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.

  • Rectification: ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Erasure: ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances.

  • Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information in certain circumstances.

  • Objection: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time.

  • Portability: ask us to transfer information you have given us to another organisation, where applicable.

  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that took place before.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We will respond within one month, and there is normally no charge.

11. Complaints

If you have a concern about how we handle your information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

12. Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Other websites

Our website may link to other websites and services, such as Cal.com, Instagram and news sources. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please read their privacy policies.
